Here is my 'starter' list;-
All kids should be able to swim before they leave school.
Deaf & dumb sign language. I taught my grand-kids the alphabet in
half an hour.
Phonetic alphabet - Alpha, Bravo, Charlie. - ditto - makes for
clear communication.
Basic first aid.
Cycling proficiency & road safety.
Kids know the size of their hard-drive and clock speed (which most adults don't!), but are ill-equipped for the real world.
What short and simple topic would you make compulsory in the kids school curriculum that would serve them well in the big outside world?

Based on what students need in their economic life I would teach them how to budget, use a credit card, balance a checkbook, and how to apply for a job
