Could Someone Please Help Me on My American Sign Language Homework?

I have to "sign" a five minute report on someone who did something important for deaf people <--(they have to be famous), or have invented something for deaf people. I was thinking about doing it on the person who created the "teletypewriter." Problem is, I don't know who that is =/ Also, I have to show my teacher a website proving that he/she is real, I don't know why, but I do. Could someone please help me with this?
