I'm working on a paper for my ASL class and I think I'm going to write about text messaging, but I'm not sure how I can completely relate it to the history of Deaf culture.
Additionally, does anyone know the history of deaf phone technology ie: TTY, VOIP, texting?

although texting was NOT created for deaf people it is very helpful for them..
i have a friend at school who is deaf and he is allowed to use his phone in school to communicate with people who do not know sign language..
