Hey.... I'm learning Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and my friend knows the alphabet in 'face sign language' i know a couple of the letters, but can't seem to find anything on the internet about it.
to sign mad you do m on your chin (3 fingers upwards and together), then you rotate your hand upwards so your thumb is on your nose and your index finger is still on the chin (for a) ... then your hand rotates up once again so the thumb remains on the nose, and the pointer ends up on the forehead creating a d.
does anyone know where i can find more information on this type of sign language?
Thanks,
Karen
she's not taking the piss. she's actually my teacher, and whenever i sign to others they understand me too, even though it's not part of the auslan language.

I think you mean Cued Speech?
There is lots of information about cued speech available. It represents each sound in a spoken language visually, and is used to help a person learn spoken language.
Whether or not it is the same in every country, I do not know. I know very few cues, though I know a few people who grew up cue-ing. The Cued Speech alphabet here (in the US) may be different than that in Australia.
