How do you sing “Happy Birthday” in American Sign Language?

April 3, 2009

I would really like to learn this, because I'm trying to teach little kids this song at a place I volunteer.

There is a web site aslpro.com it's a video dictionary. The literal translation of Happy birthday in Sign language is as follows ( look up the signs for these individual words in this order)
HAPPY ARRIVE TO YOU
HAPPY ARRIVE TO YOU
HAPPY ARRIVE DEAR (fingerspell name here)
HAPPY ARRIVE TO YOU

( they may have the actual sign for birthday on there. but arrive is one of the commonly used signs for birthday. another popular one is to sign out BIRTH and DAY.
