I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and DEFINITELY will teach my child ASL. Not only do I agree with you about being a great method to communicate, it is also a terrific other language to learn! ASL has a different grammar and syntax then English. It is the 3rd most spoken language in the US and the 4th most in the entire world! I believe it is a great skill for any child to have! You can hook up with your local Deaf Community Center and most of them have FREE classes for both you and baby! Very best wishes!
